Organic Castor Oil from Nova Industries is produced from Ricinus communis seeds grown without synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilizers, in accordance with certified organic agricultural standards. Cold Pressed Castor Oil is extracted from Ricinus communis seeds using mechanical pressing at low temperatures, typically below 60°C, without the use of hexane or chemical solvents. This traditional extraction method preserves the oil’s natural composition – including its full ricinoleic acid content (typically 85–90%), beneficial fatty acids, vitamin E tocopherols, and naturally occurring antioxidants – all of which are partially degraded or lost in solvent-extracted and high-heat refining processes. The result is a pale to light yellow, mildly fragrant oil with exceptional purity and biological activity.
Castor Oil Cake is a natural by-product obtained after extracting oil from castor seeds. It contains a rich concentration of organic nitrogen, proteins, and natural nutrients, making it a widely used input in organic agriculture and soil conditioning. Unlike fully de-oiled meals, castor oil cake retains a moderate residual oil content, which contributes to gradual nutrient release and improved soil conditioning behavior.
