Whether you’re developing a new product, validating performance with custom test rigs, or building automation and special-purpose machinery—Ontario Dynamics is here to help. Get in touch to discuss how we can support your next engineering challenge with precision, reliability, and results.
Performance test machines measure and validate the operational performance, efficiency, and quality of mechanical and electromechanical systems. These test benches focus on verifying that components meet or exceed their design specifications for output and behavior. Our performance test systems use high-precision instrumentation (such as HBM torque transducers or accelerometers and NI/Dewesoft data acquisition for real-time analytics) to capture detailed performance metrics. We can also incorporate custom electronics – from Arduino or ESP32 microcontroller platforms for specialized data logging or control, to advanced industrial sensors – to tailor the testing process. Whether delivered as a fully integrated test stand or developed in collaboration with your engineers, these machines ensure your product’s performance metrics (power output, efficiency, noise levels, etc.) are rigorously validated under controlled conditions.
We develop custom inspection and testing stations to catch defects and verify assembly quality. Vision-based systems automatically detect scratches, dents, cracks, or missing parts, and verify that every component (bearings, seals, fasteners) is present and correctly assembled. For example, a vision-guided checker can inspect a transmission or engine for missing needle bearings or defective gears before moving down the line. We also build precision gauging machines (e.g. shim-measuring units for transmissions, caliper devices for engine parts) and NVH (Noise Vibration & Harshness) testers that ensure noise and vibration meet design specs. NVH testing is a critical quality check in automotive manufacturing, helping engineers minimize unwanted noise and meet comfort standards
Our specialty is custom assembly stations and material handling systems that fit your process. We design assembly machines for engines, transmissions, EV motors, belt tensioners, and more. For example, we have built camshaft–crankshaft alignment rigs and rotor insertion systems, and high-speed screw-driving stations for electric drive components. These machines use robotics, linear actuators, and precision fixturing to put parts together accurately and quickly. We also solve line integration challenges by bridging gaps between different OEM equipment. When two machines on the line come from different suppliers, we create inline transfer cells or conveyors to ensure a smooth product handoff. Integrated material-handling systems (gantry robots, pick-and-place units, conveyors, rotary tables, and turn-over devices) keep the flow continuous. In an integrated setup, machines “communicate between different areas” of the line so production runs more smoothly and efficiently.
Ontario Dynamics engineered a sophisticated, high-throughput automated quality inspection machine specifically designed for the mass production of automotive tensioner pulleys. This system provides 100% inline inspection, utilizing advanced vibration pattern recognition to detect bearing defects, improper installations, or internal damage before products leave the factory floor. By segregating “Not Good” (NG) parts from “Good” units, the system ensures zero-defect delivery and protects our client’s reputation for quality.
